Offline Mode (PWA) All
Kaltiv works even without an internet connection thanks to its Progressive Web App (PWA) technology.
Installing the App
On Mobile (Android / iOS)
- Open Kaltiv in your browser (Chrome or Safari)
- An "Install Kaltiv" banner appears at the bottom of the screen
- Click Install
- The Kaltiv icon appears on your home screen
On Desktop (Chrome)
- Open Kaltiv in Chrome
- Click the install icon in the address bar (⊕)
- Confirm the installation

Offline Settings
Route: /settings/offline
Configure offline behaviour:
- Enable/disable PWA mode
- Pre-load ML models for offline predictions
- View storage space used by cached data
- Clear the cache if needed
Synchronisation
When the connection is restored:
- A green indicator appears: "Connection restored"
- Data entered offline is sent automatically
- Any conflicts are flagged for manual resolution
Field Tip
Before heading out to the plots, open Kaltiv on your phone while you still have a signal. Data will be automatically cached for offline use.
